Funky fresh, soulful sounds, & sweet strawberry daiquiris was the scene on Wednesday at the release party for the legendary Ashford & Simpson's new cd/dvd "The Real Thing"! The high definition blu ray dvd was filmed at the couple's Feinstein's at the Loews Regency in NYC performance. I mean the quality of this dvd is so magnificent, I felt like I was at the show!
With high-energy cuts like "I'm Every Woman" & "Solid"-which the duo transformed into "Solid As Barack" to celebrate the victory of our 44th PRESIDENT OF THE USA, the crowd was on their feet singing, dancing, chanting, and breaking a sweat. I even "cut a rug" myself!
